 How to increase your total order discount.  

There's a lot of new technology here, see below for a piece by piece explanation.

At the top left you'll get a summary of your cart value.  As cases are added to your cart, the system will begin to calculate the default FedEx Ground freight costs.  The Red/Green/Yellow indicators will notify you of the ways in which RG Riley can help you reduce those costs.

 Your current ship to address is residential.  Please contact Customer Service if this is a commercial location or if you would like RG Riley to research an alternate ship to location where you can pick up the merchandise and save on shipping costs.  Reclassification to a commercial location or shipping to an alternate location will save over $3 per case.

 We will be able to reduce your shipping costs by combining multiple smaller cases into larger ones.  Select "Cheapest" for your delivery option during checkout.  Your freight cost will be set at $0 until we calculate a revised freight cost.  Combining cases can reduce your freight costs substantially.  The smaller the case (cases under 1.75 cu ft.) the larger the savings.

  This order is large enough to ship via carrier (LTL).  Select "Quote & Email Freight Costs" for your delivery option during checkout.  The freight cost will be set to $0 pending your approval of our freight quote.  Pallet load shipments can reduce your freight costs by 30% or more.  We will provide you with a ground carrier rate and an LTL rate.  RG Riley review all orders for potential freight savings.

Your discount level is determined by the total number of cases added to your cart.  Discounts start at 1% for 6 cases up to a maximum of 7% for 100 cases+ regardless of the warehouse they’re shipping from.  Once you have enough cases in your cart to reach the next discount level, all previously added items in your cart will be reduced by the discount percentage you’ve achieved.  As you continue to drive your own discount, the pricing that you see on any individual style, will already be reduced by the discount percentage you’ve achieved.

Now with Build Your Own Pallet you can forecast the physical size of your shipment to better assist you with your order making decisions.  In general, orders that reach at least 1/4 pallet per warehouse (as determined by the dimensions of each unique case in your cart) are qualified for shipment on a pallet via Common Carrier (as opposed to Parcel Service like FedEx or UPS).  You may be able to attain huge freight savings by tailoring your orders to these pallet specifications.

At the far right you will see the actual shipment specifications of your current order.  Total case count, total weight, and the volume of your total shipment.  This information will assist customers who would like to to get freight quotes from their own carrier of choice.
